Believe in Me 2

Designed and painted a mural at a unique art boutique called Believe in Me 2. This eclectic boutique provides artistic designs created by American artists;  many who may have experienced a hardship or life changing event. These artists strive to support themselves with their talent while moving forward with life, and that is why she is here; to offer artistic empowerment.

HopeWorx

The mission of HopeWorx is to promote the continued development of a community environment which supports and believes in the expertise and passion of consumers to create and direct their own paths to health and recovery.

MontCo CSP Mental Health Recovery Day

For over 20 years, the national Community Support Program (CSP) Principles have had a dramatic impact on the way systems planners conceptualize organizing services, supports and opportunities to help mental health consumers reach their full potential in our society.

At the MontCo Community Support Program we did an Art as Meditation workshop. We featured mandalas and worked with attendees to show them how to use this art as a meditative practice.

Norristown Community Garden

One of the main goal of the Norristown Community Gardens is to cultivate a healthy community in which each member can share their value and produce with others around them.

June 2 & 15, 2017

We worked on painting and hanging of the newly built gate as well as mosaicing the posts.​ We also worked on wooden garden stakes that we mosaic’d and painted for each garden plot.

PICL

The Pennsylvania Institute for Community Living (PICL) offers a 15-bed modified therapeutic community residence for individuals with co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders.

Maria Maneos was a speaker at Arcadia University’s TEDx Talk. This year’s theme was The Big Idea with multiple ideas, themes and presentations throughout the three sessions. Presentations were 18 minutes in duration, designed to remain true to the format of the TED conference. More information about the event.
